TAXES ARE DUE NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 18, 2018.
Please ensure payment is postmarked no later than September 18, 2018.  Balances still owing after the deadline will be subject to a 18% penalty and a further 18% on outstanding balances after December 31, 2018.

Last Call for the Veteran Curling Club - volunteers needed of the doors will be closed. 

Public Meeting 
The Village would like the public to participate in the discussion on a possible fire hall expansion to accomdate a growing volunteer fire deptartment.  The public meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2018 at 7:00pm at the Veteran Hall. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

NOTICE TO RESIDENTS
Please be advised that the Village of Veteran no longer uses 911 Wainwright.  Effectively immediately, the Village of Veteran is now with 911 Red Deer.  Please advise your individual security companies as soon as possible of this change, if applicable.

MAILING OF ASSESSMENT NOTICES
Notice is hereby given that the assessment notices for all property held in the Village of Veteran were mailed on May 10, 2018 in accordance with Section 308 and 311 of the Municipal Government Act, M-26, 1 RSA 2000.

All assessment noticed are deemed to have been received seven (7) days after mailing within Alberta and fourteen (14) days outside of the province.

Any person who wishes to appeal their assessment must, by July 17, 2018, register a complaint on the Assessment Review Board Complaint Form, which is available at the Village Office or on our website at www.villageofveteran.ca.

The Village of Veteran’s 2017 audited financial statement summary is available at the Village Office for viewing during regular business hours.

Garbage Collection
If your garbage is to heavy for you to pick up , then it is  too heavy for our summer staff
to pick up.  Be considerate.  If it is too heavy, it will NOT be picked up.
